Description/Blazon
On a dark yellow field trimmed with dark blue rims, a dark blue Indian arrowhead point upwards with three arrows and a bow from the shoulder sleeve insignia embellished on it, on each side a yellow Indian arrowhead inverted down and at each point a representation of the streamers for campaign credit, across arching throughout a yellow scroll turned blue inscribed "188TH ARMY BAND" in dark blue letters.

Symbolism
Dark blue represents the field on the North Dakota State flag.  Gold is a significant color on the distinctive unit insignia and the arms for the North Dakota Army National Guard and alludes to the ripening grain of the area.  The three arrows and bow are on the shoulder sleeve insignia and state crest.  The yellow/gold Indian arrowhead is from the North Dakota Army National Guard distinctive unit insignia and the State's coat of arms.
